Join me today as I interview Brigette Heller from The Strong and Capable podcast as we talk about mindset and self-talk and the impact it has on your courage to pursue anything big in life, especially starting a business. 
Brigette talks all about her journey of getting a job that felt God sent to feeling emotionally and mentally drained by the job after a few months of working there. We dive into how she worked through all the worry, doubt and fear that came up for her and how she ultimately stepped out in faith and quit her job to pursue her own online business.

Her job felt like a God send but after 6 months, she was not in a good place emotionally and mentally. She learned a number of skills that would later serve her. The financial blessing of the job really clouded her thoughts about whether she “should” quit. 
How it feels to face that big decision to leave a job that you felt was given by God in the first place. 
Even through a job that was emotionally and mentally challenging, she kept holding on because it was a job with impact. IT’s hard to leave something when you feel like it’s an important role. 
God may ask you to pivot from a really meaningful role and that can be challenging because the world will impress upon you that if you’ve got a job that’s good and impactful, then you should have honor in that alone.

Be A Good Steward Of Your Gifts - Your Calling Depends On It

As a Christian entrepreneur, I know that you want to or are already running a business based on where God has called you. 
But what if there’s more for your business that you haven’t even considered because there's actually a whole part of you that you've been ignoring all together?
I'm talking about your talents and gifts God has given you. The thing you're just really good at. 
 But over time, what started as being modest or humble morphed into not even acknowledging that you were actually good at it at all. 
This can even feed into imposter syndrome because you've trained yourself to mentally dismiss that you are actually gifted or talented in specific areas. Many Christian women feel shame for speaking up about their abilities and really owning those skills. 
I know I was like that, and if this sounds like you, then I want to help you reframe how you're thinking about these gifts. 
What if what feels like humility or modesty is actually preventing you from seeing what God is calling you to do and how God has actually uniquely equipped you? 
In this episode, we’re going to look at biblical examples where God has given a specific talent or gift and it’s been used to do amazing things for His glory. I hope this inspires you to rethink the role of your own gifts and talents and how important they are for your calling. 
These could be things that you're actually supposed to be really highlighting in your business. 
You don’t have to dim your light so that others can shine. Let others see the gifts God has given you. Let it be really obvious that God is with you, just like David and Daniel in Scripture.

2020 Reflection and Looking Forward to What God is Doing in Your Business in 2021

As we wrap up 2020, there’s a tendency to think that 2021 is going to be magically better than 2020 or if we follow what the world is saying, then we’ll think that nothing good came of 2020. But we know that God can do good and amazing things no matter what the circumstances look like. As we come to the end of the year, it’s a habit to look forward to the next year and start planning and dreaming all of the things that we can do. While this is good and fun, I want to encourage you to really get your mind in the right place before you start all the planning for next year. Make sure you’re co-creating these goals with God and see where He really wants you to go. It might not be where you’ve got in mind.
