There’s a hustle narrative in the entrepreneur space and subsequently, we’ve developed an anti-hustle narrative. I actually think both are harmful and not really what we should be doing. Today, I want to dive into each of these camps of thought and then talk about how we can approach how we work from a Biblical perspective as we serve God with our businesses.

Part 2: Keys 2-5 for becoming a good listener to God’s voice
Do you ever wonder how to hear God? If those thoughts are yours or His? Hearing from God is important as you’re pursuing His calling on your life because He is guiding you on which business to start, what to do next, etc. When you aren’t sure you can hear Him or hear Him clearly, then it creates a lot of confusion and doubt.
Today, my guest Sandy Cooper is going to talk to us about the 5 keys to becoming a better listener so we can learn how to hear God for ourselves.
This is a 2 part series. The first part is the first 2 keys and then we’ll finish up in Part 2 with the final 3.
We’re going to be talking about:
Cultivating a relationship with Him
Saturating our minds with Scripture
Integrate periods of solitude
Emulate a spirit of humility
Demonstrate a life of obedience

Do you ever find yourself asking permission from an online business coach/teacher/mentor? Asking if you’re “allowed” to do something in your business? Or maybe you felt God was leading you in one direction, but you heard an online teacher say the opposite, so you started to doubt what you heard from God.
I think what started as seeking wisdom subtly leads into seeking permission and listening to an online teacher over what God has said.
But I don’t think this is intentional, so I want to talk to you today about why this happens, how to recognize it and how to fix it (or prevent it in the first place).
There are three main lines of thinking that contribute to this happening. What’s wild is that you often won't even recognize you have these thoughts and you’ll just kind of find yourself in that position without even realizing it. Good news is that it really is something you can fix because it starts with thoughts and beliefs and we know those can be changed. So listen as we dive into these 3 thoughts and look at them through a Biblical lens to see how to ultimately trust in God’s plan above all else.

This revival that’s happening in the United States that started at Ashbury University shows us what revival looks like. I believe a revival is happening in the online business space for moms.
God is calling women back to Him. To see Him in all that they do, to follow Him, to have a yearning to know Him and be used by Him. I know you all can feel it. Let’s be real for a minute: You don’t have to have a business and you don’t have to do it this way.
But you are. And there’s a reason.
You’re listening to this podcast because there’s something in you that’s saying “I want to do this the right way. I want to go where God is leading but I don’t know how or I want to keep my focus on Him because it’s so easy to go astray.”
When God moves, big things happen.
The impact of moms being revived spiritually and on fire for Jesus is HUGE.
As you seek God and grow this business for Him, as an act of worship, then you will see lives changed in His name.
You will build wealth- not because you were seeking it but because you were willing to receive it as God gives it and do His work with it.
But we must remember, revival happens when God moves and the Spirit is working.
But we also have to have willing hearts.
That’s what we’re going to talk about in this episode: How can we prepare our hearts to sense when God is moving and fully surrender to that when it happens?

Pivoting and changing direction with your business can bring with it a lot of shame. Why can’t you just get it together? When your husband gets frustrated that you’re changing business directions (again), it can be hard. But at the same time, you’re trying to figure this out. You care about your business and following where God is leading so what’s the deal?
In this episode, we’re going to be talking about why changing directions isn’t necessarily a bad thing (though it can be) and how to tell if it is.
I’m going to first change the narrative around what it means about you if you keep changing business directions (this is powerful).
And then I’m going to give you 3 questions you can ask yourself to make sure your heart is in the right place when you are making the decision to change directions in your life or business.
These questions will help you go from feeling shame around the whole thing to knowing exactly what’s going on in your head so you can take the action you want to take and move forward in confidence.

Making a big business decision is the number one thing clients come to me with. It can be anything from deciding which business they should start to deciding which course or product they should create next. Sometimes you can pray and think on the decision, and then you’ll know what you should do. But sometimes, you are faced with a decision that you just can’t seem to figure out what you should do. Often, this kind of decision is one that you’ve been thinking on for months or even years. You’re stuck until you can make this decision. So what do you do?
Like you heard from the live coaching session I shared on episode 77, making a decision isn’t just the tactical, logical aspect. There is a mindset and spiritual component that’s really important too.

Do you think you’ve got to have it all together for God to use you in your business? Think again. Today we’re going to talk about why you don’t have to fix yourself before God can work through you.
Now, this is a bit of a gray area because we do need to improve and seek to be more like Christ in all that we do. Part of that is the mindset work I talk about here on the podcast where we learn to recognize negative thoughts keeping us from fully walking in obedience to do what God has called us to do.
BUT this doesn’t mean something is wrong with you or that God can’t or won’t use you unless you fix yourself.
So I want to talk about what Scripture actually says about this and how it can give you so much freedom in this area if you’re struggling with these thoughts.
